Welcome to the Heartland Classic

Dear Alpaca Breeders, Vendors and Friends:

The Indiana Alpaca Association (IAA) welcomes you to our third annual Indiana Alpaca Association Heartland Classic 2011.

This show will be October 1st & 2nd in Indianapolis, Indiana; September 30th will be the check-in day. We will be located in the Toyota Exposition Hall at the Indiana State Fairgrounds which is 74,000 sq. ft. and climate controlled with heating and air-conditioning. This show is open to all ARI registered alpacas of North America and will again provide a fantastic forum for Indiana Alpaca Breeders to share our resources, knowledge, and exceptional animals with the rest of the alpaca industry. We are delighted with the enthusiastic response we have received from breeders all over the United States. We are confident you will be pleased with the location and the facilities. Conveniently located in the heart of Indiana at the Indiana State Fairgrounds – Toyota Exposition Hall, Indianapolis, Indiana. The Exposition Hall presents concrete textured flooring, complete climate control, show lighting, and full time food services. Vendors will enjoy the clean, well lit exhibit area. Stall fees include cardboard bedding, set-up and tear down.

We will be hosting a halter show, including both full fleece and shorn classes. We are pleased to announce our judges: Kevin O’Leary will be judging all Female halter, Female yearling bred & owned and Performance Classes .  Jude Anderson will be judging all Male halter, and male Yearling bred and owned classes, and both will co-judge all other Optional Halter Classes. We will be working with two show rings to keep the show moving for all participants.

We will be hosting educational seminars throughout the weekend with exciting topics that will interest first time show attendees and seasoned veterans; Wine & Cheese tasting will be presented Friday Evening. There are many hotels and restaurants located within 8 miles of the fairgrounds. Special pricing for show attendees is available at our Host Hotel – the newly renovated Hampton Inn.
